Tutor middle and
high school students in math or science classes with ADEPT Teacher
Fellows and Doctoral Fellows in Berkeley, Emeryville or Oakland
Secondary
Schools.
- Pre-Engineering
Projects Tutor (PEP Application)
Volunteers design pre-engineering projects for middle school students
and teach these projects during one or two after school sessions a
week. Engineering students can enroll in Engineering
199 or Engineering 99 for 1 to 3 units.
- Pre-Engineering
Projects Team (PEP Application)
Engineering Societies sponsor an after school pre-engineering project
team for middle school students and teach these projects during one or
two after school sessions a week for ten weeks. Members of the
sponsoring society would rotate weeks at their school and should teach
only two to four sessions each semester.

Saturday Academy Tutors (Application)
Volunteers work in math and engineering science classes on campus any
time from 9 to noon on eight Saturdays a semester when sessions are
held in Bechtel Hall.

PEP Mentors (PEP Application)
Volunteers mentor individual PEP students
on-line
or through phone conversations to support their academic acceleration
to be competitively eligible for Berkeley Engineering.

Scholarship Donations
PEP offers scholarhips for qualifying students to academies and welcomes donations of any amount to support their tuition.
