If you had the funds, what student group would you start?

Anant Chimmalgi, ME Ph.D. candidate

Cal doesn’t have a good robotics society. There are many vehicle teams that compete nationally but there are no robotics societies to enter into contests like the robotics football championship.

Bill Hung, EECS junior

I already started the Science and Engineering Association in 2003. We host Ph.D. speakers from industry. I would very much like to start another group but I don’t know what it will be yet.

Jacob Scott, EECS senior

I would start an interdisciplinary society that draws people out from the second floor of Soda Hall and involves humanities students and food. The people who join will decide what the club is about.

Stephane Verguet, ME Ph.D. candidate

I am actually trying to start a French movie club that shows movies people usually can’t see in Berkeley.
