Faculty Honors

On October 1, ME Professor Ronald W. Yeung was awarded the Davidson Medal during the Annual Meeting of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. The prestigious medal is awarded every two years to an individual for outstanding scientific accomplishment in research. Yeung, a Fellow of the Society, was cited for his broad-based contributions in computational methods and in understanding hydrodynamic processes of ships and ocean systems. Dr. Yeung was one of the early pioneers in the field of numerical ship hydrodynamics.
