Bridging the Divide

The Berkeley Management of Technology program and United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) invite you to Bridging the Divide 2004. Join leading scholars, practitioners, and policymakers in exploring how technology is accelerating industrial development in emerging global markets. The conference is on campus from April 1-3. Engineering 190 placement test set for 3/30

All students planning on taking E190 are required to take the Engineering 190 placement test before enrolling in the course. The next test is scheduled for Tuesday, March 30, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in Sibley Auditorium (in Bechtel). Students planning on taking E190 in the summer or fall of 2004 must take the test on the March 30 date if they have not already taken it. You don’t need to sign up for the test; just arrive promptly at 5:00 p.m. with a pencil or pen and your student ID.

Enter the Engineering News senior essay contest

Submit an essay on “What I learned at Berkeley” or “What Berkeley has meant to me,” in 600 words or less and win two movie tickets and dinner for two at Zachary’s Pizza. The contest is open to all graduate and undergraduate students in the College of Engineering. E-mail your essay to editnews@coe.berkeley.edu by Friday, April 16. The deadline is firm. This is your chance for fame. The essay will be published in both Engineering News and if space permits in Forefront alumni magazine with a circulation of 40,000.
