If you held political office what would you change?

Andrew Gardner,
ME senior

On the national level, I would divert funding from the military to take care of domestic problems such as unemployment and improving health care.

Daniel Yeung,
CEE senior

I would do away with all bureaucracy on the state level because it results in high fees for students. I would focus more on education and cutbacks in financial aid that prevent some students from going to college.

Edward Lee,
EECS sophomore

I would try to encourage students to register to vote. If politicians see how many students are registered to vote, it would be a statement. I think it would definitely send the right message.

Kevin Scallan,
ME grad student

I would limit the size and number of cars people can own, decrease the drinking age and ban the proliferation of fast food outlets.
