Celebrating the Class of 2004

Perfect GPAs may have helped earn these 10 students departmental citations and two Bechtel awards, but it is their passion for everything they do that helped them excel and stand out in a College full of superstars. These eight men and two women were chosen by faculty as top in their fields because they stand out not just as students but also as contributors to their social and acdemic communities.While there are many more students just like them among the College of Engineering’s 724 undergraduate members of the Class of 2004, we have highlighted these students as a sampling of the wide range of talents and interests in this year's graduating clas....[FULL STORY]

The Department Citation Award is the highest honor given to one student in each engineering department. Also, each year two students receive the highest College-wide honors, the Bechtel Achievement Award and the Bechtel Scholarship. This year's winners (left to right) are senior Olivia Or (Engineering Science), senior Kevin Simler (EECS), ME senior Emery Sanford (Bechtel Achievement Award), Engineering Science sophomore Austin Minnich (Bechtel Scholarship), senior Priam Pillai (MSE), junior Ryan Doan (BioE), and senior Anthony Paganini (IEOR). Not pictured are graduates Sarah Giddings (CEE), Ryan Hannink (NE), and Mathew Panzer (ME).
