Celebrating the Class of 2004

Perfect GPAs may have helped earn these 10 students departmental citations and two Bechtel awards, but it is their passion for everything they do that helped them excel and stand out in a College full of superstars. These eight men and two women were chosen by faculty as top in their fields because they stand out not just as students but also as contributors to their social and acdemic communities.

While there are many more students just like them among the College of Engineering’s 724 undergraduate members of the Class of 2004, we have highlighted these students as a sampling of the wide range of talents and interests in this year's graduating class.

As diverse as these students are they share a few things; top time management skills, secret dreams of becoming writers and artists, a great love of the outdoors, and a genuine altruism. Four of this year's winners were Eagle Scouts. Clearly, the one thing all the winners have in common is a true love of learning and a passion for engineering.
