Have a little game of one on one with this week’s brainteaser. The first person to e-mail the right answer will have his or her name printed in the next issue of Engineering News along with the answer.
Twice a semester, one of the bi-weekly winners will be picked at random to win two movie tickets, courtesy of Berkeley Engineering Alumni Relations.

What is the largest number of spots that can be painted on a basketball in such a way that every spot is exactly the same distance from every other spot?
