Celebrating the Class of 2003

Perfect GPAs were not enough to earn the following 10 students departmental citations and two Bechtel awards. These eight men and two women were chosen by faculty as top in their fields because they stand out not just as students but also as people and as contributors to their social and academic communities.

While there are many more students just like them among the College of Engineering’s 721 undergraduate members of the Class of 2003, we have highlighted these students as a sampling of the diversity of nationalities, talents, and interests in this year’s graduating class

This year's departmental citation winners don't just have great grades going for them. They are involved in and passionate about many things outside of school. They are leaders, activitsts, singers, rock climbers, world travelers and artists. They have started nonprofits and student societies, participated in student government and won prestigious awards like the Rhodes Scholarship.
